Artist's Description
While on vacation in Florida--my first and so far only time there--I was lucky enough to have friends take me to local nature preserves, here the Loxahatchee near Delray Beach. Among all the beautiful Egrets of every size, and the many herons, seeing a TriColored was a first for me, also. What a beautiful bird...the shades of blue, shimmering into hues of purple, grays, and the bright white underwing and belly. I only saw 3 of them. The other 2 were in their nest watching their eggs hatch. Birds are amazing creatures!
