Artist's Description
A pair of Bufflehead Ducks, male and female, floated by me near Plymouth Rock at the Waterfront in Plymouth, MA early this one morning. I took a few seconds to capture them, but I was far more interested in finding help for an injured young male Eider duck that apparently got his poor rump either bitten by a snapper or a boat motor. My persistence and many 6 am calls paid off and a Vet tech was called and brought him to the local wild animal hospital and shelter.
