Description
They called them "Icebergs" on the dunes and beaches of outer Cape Cod on the local news reports. My camera club buddies and I trekked out to Wellfleet and found a vast tundra of ice, ice chunks and icebergs as far as the naked eye could see! Personally, they seemed more like Goldbergs to me...not the size or type of "berg" of Titanic fame! Yet, somehow, they did apparently swallow people whole if they ventured too far out into the Winter Wonderland. In Wellfleet the ice was all on the sandy beach and dunes. Further out in Truro, the ice was floating on the water. It was a once in a lifetime sight...so amazed to be part of it!!
