Description
These purple tiny orchid-like weeds nearing the end of their lifespan in early Fall were still attracting hundreds of these buzzers! Knowing from experience that bumblebees won't bother you if you don't bother them, I stood in several spots waiting for them to dance and pose for me. I have also learned to block the din of the peanut gallery and their warnings of "you'll get stung", etc! I may not always get an image like this, but I haven't gotten stung yet either!
